How should a suit fit?

Nothing beats a well fitted suit, therefore there are a few things to take into consideration to get the best fit for you.

The Jacket shoulders should lay flat on your shoulders and the seams should end at the ends of the shoulder. No wrinkles or gathered fabric.

The length of the Jacket should cover the trouser pockets and come down to the start of the crotch seam or zip. The sleeves should expose half an inch of your shirt and sit at the wrist bone.

The waistcoat is quite a simple one, it should fit close to the body, without being restrictive or gaping at the neck line, the adjuster straps can be used, but shouldn’t be heavily relied on.

The shirt shouldn’t be exposed and the waistcoat should sit around an inch below the trouser waistband.

Trousers should fit perfectly round the waist, without the need for a belt and without also being uncomfortable.
The seam of the trousers shouldn’t be sagging and should fit comfortably against the leg, finally there should be little or no break (fold of material)between the bottom of the trousers and shoes’
